It's a mad house really.
So we had a fabulous weekend in the Philippi house. Friday Lily-mons and I went and had lunch and shopping with my mom and then I left her there. Got cleaning done, hung out with Adam without arguing about stupid stuff. Had a nice dinner on Sunday with the family and brought Lily home. Her rash is almost gone and she is sleeping way better (thank God!). But we are not. Why you ask? Adam has the flu. Who gives a rats behind which KIND of flu, it's the flue nonetheless. So he hasn't been sleeping well, which means I haven't been sleeping well, which also means I can't come up with anything good to write about. This is it. (notice, I always have some sort of excuse for my lack of wit)
Hopefully Lily and I will escape without getting sick, Adam will get better and we can get things back to normal SOON. Cause really I'm going insane. So if you don't hear from me in the next few days...send the guys in the white jackets.

Did I ever tell you guys what Mooey meant?
Well I realized the other day what it means. She says it when she sees a kitty cat. So I'm guessing she thinks that is what a cat says. But it seems her vocabulary is ever expanding these days. She now says Please, cookie, mooey, moon, hi and bye bye. Along with a few other new words I can't think of right now. So add that to my previous list of words she says and she has a pretty decent word list right now. So proud of her. When she wants something she nods yes and says "Peez" (which of course is Please for those of you that don't speak Lily).
If (oh who am I kidding, WHEN) she misbehaves we have introduced the timeout to her recently. And she gets it. She really does. Which surprises me. Now usually all I have to do is tell her it's her first warning and if she does it again she will have a timeout. A whole whopping minute and a half but I'm sure for her that seems like an eternity of sitting there by the basement door with NO toys and not within sight of the TV or her baby and the baby's bottle. Heck most of the time when I mention the word timeout she goes and sits by the door. Even if she didn't do anything. Such a silly girl. She finds it funny cause she brings her toys with her. Well she doesn't find an actual timeout so funny. She's growing up so fast.

Pumpkin Carving for the Toddler.
Ok so the pictures are backwards with the finished product being on top and I am FAR too lazy to rearrange them now so enjoy them as they are!
Lily's punkin'. She finger painted it all by herself, all the way around. Even though I'm pretty sure the rain/snow we've been getting will make it all wash off (thank goodness for washable paint) she had fun doing it and that's all that matters. And I did get pictures of it anyway!
Miss Lillian painting her punkin'. This, Like everything else in her life, she was very dainty about. She only gets paint where she intends it to go. None on her clothes or her body other than her hand.
Think she's trying to make a smiley face here. Who knows what goes through the mind of a toddler though. Either way she got mad when we were done and I put the paint away. Poor thing.
She has begun smiling again for the camera, which makes this amateur photographer who's primary subject is her, VERY VERY happy.
This was the pre-punkin' decorating. She did not like the guts of the big ones we carved and was terrified of the finished products too. But had no problem with her pumpkin in the least.
I'm kinda sad that it's looking like we aren't going to get to the Orchard this year because of the weather, it's been so rainy and cold here that we just opted to get our pumpkins at Cub this year. Probably cheaper too and they were perfect!
We interupt this program....
for an unscheduled visit to the Dr. Yup, you read that right. Lillian had her first visit to the Dr. that wasn't for a well visit or for shots. In fact I think she was confused when we left there without getting poked with 4 needles. For the past few weeks the girl has had a pretty bad diapie rash. Now I really didn't think too much of it since she does get rashes easily when she is getting teeth etc. But this one was different. It lasted FOREVER and despite my best attempts at max strength cream, frequent diaper changed, soda bathes and TONS of nakie time it was just getting worse. So we went in. The girl has a yeast infection. Poor thing. No wonder she's been sleeping like crap lately. She's been itchy and burning and sore and it probably wakes her up at night.
So we get to put athletes foot cream on her bottom. For some reason I find that amusing even though it's really not.
One night of cream and she already looked better this morning. And the doctor told us the signs and said it was fine to go ahead and buy over the counter and treat if it happens again. I hope this isn't a sign of what's to come for when she's an adult.
Happier post to follow...With pictures!
