11 Month Photos.

As Promised!

This one is actually a week or two old. But I loved it, She has a fascination with the patio doors and I went around the curtains on the other side and scared her. She thought it was pretty funny.

11 Months! I can't believe how big she is getting. Of course that doesn't mean she will look at me and take a nice picture for mommy. Oh no, of course not, She's just to darn busy.

So here I got one. I got this sun hat for her since she loves to be outside so much! She digs it AND being outside!

I picked up this toy for her at a garage sale so she could walk around outside. She cruised around the yard with it for like an hour yesterday. She would NOT let go, even when she would fall down, she would just hang there until you stood her back up. She looks so intense in this picture.

2 years ago today...

At this time, I was getting my hair done with my bridesmaids, enjoying the last few hours before our wedding. 2 years ago today I married my best friend. It seems like ages ago, yet just like yesterday. It's really amazing how much of a difference just 2 years can make in your life. We bought a house, got pregnant, had a baby, and heck the girl is almost a year old now. It is so crazy how fast time flies. But what a great couple of years and I wouldn't change a thing. (unless we could win the lottery, that would be AWESOME!)

I love you honey, Happy Anniversary!

How to tell when you are truley a mom...

when you are looking for a piece of gum in your purse and run across a little rubber ducky that you kept in your purse to appease the monster while shopping. THEN you pull it out and proudly display it on your desk to remind you of your little baby while you are at work.

What a weekend!

Well I had Friday off so I did a photo session and then I brought Lily down to my parents house. She was going to stay with them for the weekend. On the way I stopped at a few garage sales, got a few things. After I left my parents I stopped at a few more and got my hair cut! It was nice. I needed it, I had this weird length/flippy thing going on in the back that just HAD to be taken care of. Then Adam got off work and we went out for dinner. Then home, played some Rockband and went to bed. Saturday we went shopping and out to dinner to celebrate our anniversary and Saturday night we rented some movies and went home and watched them in bed! Sunday we got up and went to breakfast and then went to get the Mons. By this point we were both ready to get her, we missed her. Though the time away was so nice! We don't get it often.

Tomorrow is our actual 2 year anniversary, it seems like just yesterday we got married. SO crazy.

Love you honey! Thanks for a great weekend even though I put us in debt and on serious cutbacks for May, I had fun being with you!

Cute as a button!

I had a great morning with Aubree and her mom, Krista! Two is a great age, she listened well and we got some great shots! Enjoy!

My 11 Month Old....

Loves to be on the move...always crawling crawling crawling

Will pull herself up on the weirdest stuff and "walk" along it.

Puts herself to sleep after a lifetime of me holding her to sleep *I sure do miss the cuddles*

Wakes up in the middle of the night, sits up and can't lay herself back down so mommy and daddy have to help her.

Is nearing the end of her pacifier usage

Won't look at the camera when you try and take a picture of her.

Has a spunky attitude that both makes us mad and makes us laugh at the same time

Loves to crawl UP the stairs.

Loves to *help* mommy in the kitchen

Will cuddle with you ONLY when she is super tired or you have a book

Loves her Mr. Beary(s)

Is getting such long hair that I am contemplating a trim.

Loves Chapstick thanks to her Grandma Gail, and smacks her lips for it when she sees you have it.

Is such a great eater and eats whatever you put in front of her.

Really doesn't have a whole lot of interest in bottles anymore except at bedtime.

Makes mom and dad proud of her every single day.

We love you baby girl! Happy 11 Months!

*pictures to be posted after I actually take them. LOL*

Why the heck don't I take videos of this stuff?

Well WHAT a weekend it was! I was pretty busy but still managed to find some time to relax...err...chase the Monster around the house for a while. She has become a crawling machine. From one room to another, to pull herself up on the sliding glass door in the 3 season room. Which is her FAVORITE room. Maybe it's all the windows at her height, maybe it's cause we don't really spend a ton of time in there, who knows. But she loves it. She now has constant red knees but it doesn't bother her, as long as she can get where she wants. She also walks along the couch and other furniture and is more often than not letting go and standing there by herself. WHERE IS MY BABY? She is getting so big and learning so much. She'll be walking in no time.

And up until about a week ago I cherished my cuddle time with the girl after her last bottle til she fell asleep and then I put her in her crib, until it was getting to the point where she would wake up and cry when I put her down. So we ultimately decided some sleep training was in order and it was time she learned to put herself to sleep. It was hard. Not hard to listen to her cry, or hard cause it wasn't working, in fact, it DID work and it worked fast and now I've lost my little cuddle bug. She doesn't WANT me to hold her to sleep anymore, which is good, but I can't help but be a little sad. Sorta like my baby doesn't need me anymore. Which is pathetic, cause lets face it, she isn't even potty trained yet. LOL.

So I'll enjoy and mourn the loss of my cuddle time with the girl til she gets old enough to WANT to cuddle with me. Until then I just take the kisses she gives.

And last but not least....

This session was fun. What's more fun that chasing a 19 month old around for an hour and a half hoping you can get just one or two GREAT shots of them. LOL. They are so busy and ALWAYS on the go that it's hard work.

This is Tara and her son Logan (Adam's cousin Tara) I like to think we got some pretty good ones in there. Here is a sampling.

Tara seemed really excited about a collage so I thought I would share my favorite one! I put together a couple for her!

Fresh with his brand new haircut!

He was just on the go go go, so one of the few pics I got with him looking a me.

At LAST the wait is OVER!

I was SO excited yesterday, every time a truck would drive by the house I would JUMP off the couch and run to the window to see if it was the long-awaited UPS guy. And Finally around 2:00 or so I heard it. The sweet sound of the squeaky breaks, the slide of that door. It was HERE. After waiting a horribly long 11 days to get it, it was in my grasp. I rushed to the door, I stood there waiting in anticipation as the UPS guy couldn't get to the door fast enough. He was here. On my doorstep. With my camera and all I had to do was sign that little screen. After he left I brought it to the couch and ripped into it as fast as I could, I just knew I had to get to the battery so I could put it on the charger. I hated that hour long wait as the battery charged as I couldn't turn on the camera, But I sure had fun playing with all the accessories and getting everything out of it's packaging (and minus a little break that I had to take to feed the girl) I was in heaven. It really was Christmas morning in my house yesterday! Finally the light went solid, I could put the battery in the camera and TURN IT ON! I basically spent the rest of the day yesterday playing with my shiny new toy. Despite my grand plans of vacuuming the mons' room or cleaning the bathroom. Those things could wait. My new camera could not.

So for your viewing pleasure I took some photos. Oh I took MANY photos, most were of stupid stuff as I learned how to zoom and focus and work the flash, So I picked a couple favorites and thought I would post them!

Of COURSE the girl likes to watch tv. She is OUR daughter after all. Here she is watching Adam play guitar hero or rockband, I don't remember which, either way the point remains the same.

She doesn't look at me when I take her picture anymore, and if she does look at me, it's usually a blank stare.

Just call her Lily Blue Eyes. I Love this photo, the way the light was hitting her face was JUST perfect. She has the most gorgeous blue eyes. I really hope they stay that way.

My wonderful Husband, whom without him, I wouldn't even HAVE my shiny new camera. So Thank you Honey!

One of out demon cats. I have always loved his eyes, So pretty.

And the Dog. Who doesn't get near as much credit as he deserves. Leo's such a good boy. listens well (doesn't pee on my carpet) and is always willing to watch you eat.
PS. Don't think I did totally nothing yesterday, I did get dishes done, my dining room cleaned. the floors done and the living room picked up. Pretty productive for an hour and a half when the girl was napping huh?

Is that HAIR all over the floors?

Well the girl has learned that she can really get anywhere she wants to be now by crawling. I love that she can go and explore, I hate that it really brings my attention to how dirty my floors are. I hope to spend some time tomorrow getting the floors all cleaned up and putting stuff down in the basement that we don't really use so that she can't really get into it all. She had fun exploring the dining room last night. She previously avoided it because it has hardwood floors and my goodness they are slippery for her, but that doesn't stop her now. She found a few cat toys to play with and then she managed to make her way into the 3 season room, where there was a MASSIVE amount of those plastic Easter eggs sprawled all over the floor. So that kept her entertained for a while. It also kept me entertained, watching her dump them out of the basket and then pick them up and put them back in, only to dump them out again. She was just having a ball.

In other news. I am Officially working 4 days a week now. I'm beyond excited to have 3 day weekends, cause goodness gracious do I need them. My house has been slacking and it's really beginning to show and it's not a great time for that since more people than EVER will be at my house to have photos done. So I will welcome the 4 day weeks for now and see how this goes. For now it's temporary thru the summer. In fact this week will be a little off, with me being off tomorrow (Thursday) instead so that I can be home to wait for my shiny new camera. It's like Christmas, only I had to pay for it and someone spoiled the surprise. BUT I am still very anxious to get it play with it.

Easter Pics are HERE!

Some Pictures for your viewing pleasure...

First of all I didn't realize that she looked so Drunk in this picture or I would have chosen another one but I'm just simply too tired and lazy to do that right now. So ANYWAY. I always thinks she looks so much less "baby" when I put her hair up and add the fact that she is RIDING A BIKE. And she just seems so "big girl" ish. My baby's growing up so fast these days.

Another shot of her in her Easter dress riding her bike. At least she doesn't have the "pass me another beer" look in this one.

This is Lily with My grandma, so her great-grandma. It just makes me so happy that she can meet some of her great-grandparents and they can be a part of her life!

Me and Lily all dressed up for Easter. I don't wear dresses often and I surely don't wear makeup often so here's a glimpse.

Ok so this one isn't an Easter picture but I thought it was cute. She always looks at me funny when I don my bandana to clean or whatever so I thought I would put in on her. She dug it.

Little Peter CottonTail, Hoppin' Down the Bunny Trail....

Well it's EASTER weekend already. Yikes, where the heck does time go? We have a pretty busy weekend ahead of us but I suppose that's a good thing. Tomorrow we are going to my parents for dinner, and my brother and his wife and my nephew will be there and my grandma. Should be a fun time. Sunday we are going to Adam's parents house for dinner and then probably stopping over at his aunts house to visit a little bit before heading home.

My house is SUCH a mess. I really just simply do NOT have time to clean it. And partly just really don't care. I keep the living room somewhat presentable mainly cause Lily is crawling around like a mad baby in there lately.

Last night I did her bedtime as usual. Got her to sleep as usual. Put her in her crib at about 7:35 or so, walked out of her room and she started screaming. It was bizarre, she didn't even twitch when I put her down so I was pretty surprised to hear from her. So we waited 5 minutes, went in, moved her back to the center of the crib and left. We waited another 5 minutes, and did the same, but when Adam went in there, she was STANDING. Now this really shouldn't have surprised me since we know she can go from laying to standing without a problem but she's never done it in her crib before. 5 minutes later and I went in and she was back to sitting up in the corner. It was pretty cute but I surely didn't let HER know that. I think that was it, she went to sleep, it was about 8 when she finally went to sleep. About 20 after 8 or so Adam went in to make sure she wasn't curled up in the corner or some other place in the crib that would cause her to wake up uncomfortable and scream. She was on her tummy, so Adam just moved her back to the center and called it good. She was good the rest of the night.

So I guess we'll be lowering the crib some more since she has learned she can stand up in there. *sigh* For some reason I just really don't want her taking a head first tumble to the floor.

In photography news, I got my first paying order. Was pretty happy about that. Plus I had such an incredible response to my FREE offer that I decided to end it early as I'm just not sure how many more sessions I can reasonably fit in before June 1st anyway. So I'm pretty excited about that!

Tuesday, April 7, 2009

A problem I never expected to have....

I have SIX sessions lined up. I really can't believe it. I am SO excited at all this opportunity and really hope that once my work for free deal is done that I can still muster up some clients. I mean I do have a fancy schmancy new camera to pay for...Oh what? I didn't tell you about that? Well I did end up purchasing the Nikon D60. I'm not so patiently awaiting it's arrival. I got a great deal and am hoping that it serves me well. I have a lot of work lined up and if I can do great at this then I will be able to actually PAY for it in no time flat. I hope.

Not much new in the world of Lily. We did have a meeting with our future daycare provider last night and that went well. She was good and we got the contract signed and so she starts on June 1st. I am sure she will love it, gets to play with different toys and kids, learn some social skills and we won't be leary to ask Adam's parents to babysit for us since now we really don't since they see her all week. I feel good about this decision, and she would have had to start in the fall anyway.

She is still moving around like crazy and it amazes me how fast she goes from back, to tummy to sitting in like .3 seconds. She is a fast girl. So Smart and LOVES to be read too. She has books downstairs, book for the tub, several on my nightstand, and a whole bunch in her room. This makes me happy. Her absolute Favorite is Goodnight Moon. Though I have to admit, I'm not too impressed, but it's short enough and she loves that dang red balloon.

Thursday, April 2, 2009

Yes, she still exists....

And here are some pictures to prove it. (non-posed ones anyway)

Pony tail Lily! She was being crabby for the pictures of it though.

She LOVES empty pop bottles and the like. LOL

Yes, a nakie picture. I'm not usually a fan but the angle of the mirror and such was perfect. We were letting her get some air since she had a pretty bad diapie rash.
More pics of the park including a video, coming soon.

Why do they have to grow up?

So for a long time now Lily has seemed to have no interest in really moving anywhere but where you put her. OH boy how that has changed in just a few short weeks. She still doesn't officially crawl but she sure can get where she wants to be. With a combination of pulling herself with her hands, by scooting her butt, mixed with a snippet of crawling and this weird half standing twirl thing she does. (yeah I have no clue how to describe it) And as of late she has been pulling herself up and letting go, so she is just standing there not holding on to anything. She gets the biggest smile on her face too like she is so darn proud of herself for doing it all by herself. sigh. I suppose this is what's supposed to happen huh? They get older and do more. I just can't believe how one day she can do nothing and the next she is practically running away from me.

I DO have some good video of her standing by herself, and one of these days I promise to upload it, along with the video of her in the swing at the playground.

Heck I think we'll go to the playground today. Sunshine FINALLY!
